Job summary

Vistry Group is seeking a Senior Technical Coordinator to manage design and drawing packages for residential developments at our Warley office. You will coordinate engineering information and ensure timely technical approvals, while maintaining build quality and value.

You will work closely with consultants, site teams and commercial colleagues, leading design reviews and ensuring buildable solutions within budget. A strong technical background and collaborative approach are essential.

Qualifications

  • BTEC HND/HNC in Design, Construction or Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure drawings and details are accurate and commercially suitable throughout construction.
  • Liaise with consultants and attend meetings to progress technical matters.
  • Assist Commercial and Buying teams in review and approval of subcontractor design information.
  • Maintain and manage all current drawings/documents/information for new build contracts on the Viewpoint platform.
  • Review contract documentation, warranties and bond requirements.
  • Attend site meetings and conduct weekly site visits to resolve technical queries.
  • Raise DCPs/VOs as required.

Senior Technical Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Coordinator to join our team within Vistry Eastern Counties, at our Warley office. As our Senior Technical Coordinator, you will coordinate key information, engineering and working drawing packages to enable any given residential development to be built as intended and to obtain all necessary technical approvals.   • Experience working within a technical role at a residential house builder or contractor
  • Good level of IT literacy with experience of AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel & Word

  • Use of Viewpoint drawing management system.
  • Proficient use of Auto Cad.
  • Management of technical fees and services cost to complete

  • Comply with the company Life of Site processes.
  • Ensure all drawings and details are accurate and commercially suitable throughout the construction phase stages.
  • Liaise with consultants and attend meetings to progress all relevant Technical matters
  • Assist Commercial and Buying teams in review and approval of subcontractor design information.
  • Ensure accurate and on time design information in line with client requirements.
  • Ensure cost effective design control and buildability.
  • Maintain and manage all current drawings/documents/information for all new build contracts on the Viewpoint Platform.
  • Review and check contract documentation, warranties and bond requirements.
  • Ensure that new regulation requirements are anticipated and incorporated as required.
  • Undertake monthly construction quality reports.
  • Provide a technical service to the construction team during the construction stage.
  • Completion of all necessary Health, Safety & Environmental documents, inline with group policy.
  • Undertaking value engineering assessments and ensure buildability.
  • Co-ordinate utility designs and initial mains laying onto site.
  • Obtain street naming and numbering with local authority, complete plot list and distribute internally and externally of the business.
  • Assist in production of Sales brochure and model sign off.
  • Provide information for Housing Association/PRS contracts and attendance of progress meetings.
  • Co-ordinate the accuracy of information supplied by all departments to ensure no discrepancies.
  • Submission of all information to building control and discharge conditions.
  • Obtain EPC’s.
  • Obtain Secured by Design Approval, where applicable.
  • Obtaining and track all specialist third party design approvals.
  • Attend monthly site meetings, resolve all technical related queries from site, including conducting weekly site visits.
  • Attend monthly design team meetings and take the minutes.
  • Raise DCP’s/VO’s as required.
