Ashford Hybrid - Twice a month in the Ashford Office

Here at Saga, we’re looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Application Development team. This hybrid role allows flexible working from home or our hubs. You will develop technical business requirements supporting projects across Saga’s businesses, liaising with technology partners, defining APIs, mapping data, and collaborating with the Digital UX team to map user journeys. Your focus will include systems, data, architecture, and data quality enhancements.

You will communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and articulate business requirements, translating them into technical specifications. Experience in creating Software Requirements Specifications, data mappings, use cases, and interface designs is essential.

You should possess strong analytical and product management skills, with the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

Role Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Act as an interface for technical delivery with internal teams and third-party partners.
• Support multidisciplinary teams in designing, developing, documenting, testing, and delivering solutions.
• Document designs and requirements for updates.
• Facilitate Data Mapping workshops and document data architecture.
• Work with technical teams to ensure solutions are achievable and well-documented.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts on technical vision and trade-offs.
• Review test scripts to ensure functional requirements are tested.
• Assist with defect triage.
• Challenge business assumptions and ensure successful execution.
• Follow company standards and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to architectural strategy, governance, and policy.

The Ideal Candidate

• Technical background with proven experience.
• Experience in software engineering and architecture design.
• Knowledge of Information Security and DevOps best practices.
• Degree-level education preferred.
• Ability to articulate comprehensive business requirements.
• Skilled in requirements elicitation techniques.
• Capable of creating and delivering presentations and facilitating workshops.
• Understanding of change management.
• Experience with application solutions from both technical and business perspectives.
