The Role

This is a unique opportunity to lead the technical publications function within a global high-tech engineering company. The company’s technical manuals have been in use for over 20 years. As the leader, you’ll modernise and reshape documentation processes to meet the evolving needs of engineers and customers.

While 80% of manuals are in place, your expertise will be key in problem-solving, process improvement, and driving efficiency. You’ll collaborate with engineers and senior leaders to enhance content quality and make a significant impact on a large, innovative organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of technical writers, fostering innovation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to improve documentation processes.
• Enhance content management strategies – experience with CMS tools (e.g., Author-it) is essential.
• Utilise Microsoft Office to manage documentation workflows effectively.
• Drive process improvements to streamline workflows for engineers across the business.
