The Role

This is a unique opportunity to lead the technical publications function within a high-tech engineering company with a global presence. The company’s technical manuals have been in use for over 20 years and hold a strong legacy worldwide. As the leader of this function, you’ll have the chance to modernise and reshape documentation processes to meet the evolving needs of engineers and customers.

While 80% of manuals are already in place, your expertise will be key in problem-solving, process improvement, and driving efficiency. You’ll work closely with engineers and senior leaders to enhance content quality and create a lasting impact on a large, innovative organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of technical writers, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to improve documentation processes.
• Enhance content management strategies — experience with CMS tools (e.g., Author-it or similar) is essential.
• Utilise Microsoft Office to manage documentation workflows effectively.
• Drive process improvements to streamline workflows for engineers across the business.
