The Team:

The Impact:
This is a hands-on role providing technical leadership and architectural direction to the Environmental Solutions group, directly impacting the development of systems addressing environmental and sustainability goals.
Responsibilities:
- Define, develop, and manage technical architecture for Environmental Solutions projects, including cloud infrastructure, APIs, microservices, integration patterns, and data platforms.
- Own and drive the Information Modelling workstream, creating comprehensive conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Design, implement, document, and oversee APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
- Provide technical leadership on cloud architecture solutions, including containerized applications using Kubernetes (k8s), Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Maintain oversight of cybersecurity best practices and compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate across organizational levels to ensure alignment of architecture standards and practices with environmental and business objectives.
- Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams (UML or equivalent).
- Drive innovation and continuous learning, staying informed about emerging technologies relevant to environmental and sustainability solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in technical architecture, information modelling, data governance, software development, and system integration.
- Deep expertise in information modelling and data architecture practices.
- Proven hands-on experience with API design, microservices architectures, cloud computing, Kubernetes (k8s), containerization, ETL, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong technical knowledge of cybersecurity standards and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional documentation and diagramming skills (UML or equivalent).
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Critical thinking, abstract problem-solving ability, and strong analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Desired experience:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing systems related to commodity markets.
- Familiarity with market mechanisms and regulations governing carbon trading.
- Experience working with environmental registries that track carbon credits.
- Understanding of compliance requirements for data management within environmental registries.

Compensation:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $290,000 (US). Final base salary will be based on geographic location and experience level.
