Job summary

The Insolvency Service is recruiting a Technical Architect to define the target architectures and technology direction for Digital Services used by citizens, businesses and intermediaries across the UK. You will help set standards, governance and roadmaps while working closely with delivery teams in a modernising tech estate based on .NET/C# and Azure.

This permanent, hybrid role offers 60% office time across multiple UK locations and a Civil Service benefits package including a defined benefit

Qualifications

• Software development background, preferably .NET/C#.
• Define and apply architecture strategy, standards, patterns and roadmaps.
• Experience in architecture governance, technical assurance and managing architectural risk.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define target architectures, technology direction and roadmaps across Digital Services.
• Produce and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, technical standards and architecture decision records.
• Provide technical leadership and assurance across solution designs and major technical decisions.
• Work with developers and delivery teams to resolve complex technical challenges balancing quality and delivery.
• Engage with senior business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into technical approaches.
