Hyde Group seeks a highly experienced Technical Accounting and Assurance Lead to shape financial governance and accounting assurance across the organisation.

In this high-impact role reporting to the Financial Reporting Director, you will own technical accounting guidance, support regulatory changes, and strengthen controls while providing clear, practical guidance to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of technical accounting, financial reporting controls, accounting standards, regulatory requirements and finance governance within a large complex real estate/housing business.
• Experience acting as a finance subject matter expert and translating complex requirements into practical guidance.
• A strong assurance and review background with ability to identify risk, control gaps and improvements.

Responsabilités

• Own and maintain finance guidance, technical accounting policies and key control documentation.
• Set clear standards that support accurate financial reporting, governance and consistent finance operations.
• Provide expert advice on accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal policy.
• Resolve complex technical accounting queries with clear recommendations.
• Assess impact of regulatory changes and support controlled implementation.
• Review processes, systems and controls to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare guidance and materials for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Support audit, regulatory review and internal assurance activity with robust evidence and guidance.
