Job summary

Chubb is recruiting for an Underwriter or Senior Underwriter to join the Technology Industry Practice in the UK. The role focuses on new business development in the middle-market and lower middle-market, blending broad P&C underwriting with a specialised focus on PI and Cyber.

We welcome experienced Senior Underwriters or candidates at Underwriter level, with the role available in Manchester, Birmingham or London.

Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance market, ideally with a background in property and casualty underwriting.
• Strong understanding of technology-specific exposures and evolving segment.
• Confidence working with new business and broker relationships.
• Ability to work in upper SME/lower middle-market insurance segment.
• Results-driven with ability to act on own initiative.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and process new and renewal business in line with appetite and limits.
• Underwrite, quote and convert new P&C package business in the lower middle-market.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient practices and guidelines.
• Support brokers, clients, and internal departments.
• Maintain underwriting integrity within Code of Conduct and policies.
• Contribute to product development and industry practice initiatives.
• Travel to other Chubb offices and to brokers as required.
