Job summary

Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Ltd currently seeks a Director of Technology Risk and Governance to shape the risk and controls landscape across the UK, Ireland and Europe. You will lead a talented team, influence senior decisions and partner with regulators to ensure robust technology risk management and governance.

You will drive the IT risk appetite framework, oversee SOX/ICFR, ITGC and information security controls, and report clearly to the board and committees.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in technology risk, cyber security, governance and controls within regulated financial services.
• Expertise across risk and control frameworks such as COBIT, NIST or ITIL.
• Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate with senior stakeholders, auditors and regulators.
• Strong communication skills to present risk information to executives and boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and operation of the IT risk appetite framework and report within risk tolerance.
• Drive technology risk and governance across the organisation, strengthening controls.
• Provide strategic oversight of enterprise technology controls including SOX and ITGC.
• Produce clear risk and governance reporting for executives, regulators and committees.
• Oversee policy management, audits and third party cyber assurance with timely remediation.
• Develop and coach your team, fostering collaboration and strong outcomes.
