Job summary

Jefferies is seeking a Technical Lead within Equities Technology – Global Equity Swaps to drive development and support of a high‑performance swap trading and lifecycle system. You will partner with front‑office traders, operations, and middle‑office teams in a fast‑paced environment.

The role requires 10+ years in capital markets, 5+ years in a lead role, and deep expertise in Swaps, lifecycle management, and real‑time, low‑latency software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in capital markets, preferably in Synthetic Prime.
• 5+ years in a technical lead role.
• 10+ years of hands-on programming experience in C++/Java/C#, preferably in server-side development.
• Strong hands-on experience with low-latency systems, multi-threading, and real-time systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, low-latency, highly responsive Equity Swap trading and Lifecycle system
• Lead technical design and re-platforming efforts using best-of-breed technologies
• Ensure robust trade processing and lifecycle events handling for swaps and hedge execution workflows
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across all regions, collect and understand business requirements
• Manage full SDLC including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and production deployment
• Coordinate with global teams on integration points
• Maintain and evolve legacy systems while driving modernization initiatives
