Job summary

University of Cambridge invites applications for a Senior Teaching Associate in Computational Continuum Modelling and High Performance Computing to support the MPhil in Scientific Computing. The role includes creating and delivering course modules, supervising assessments and exams, and coordinating short courses within the continuum and HPC streams.

Qualifications

• PhD in mathematics or physics (or near completion).
• Extensive experience in continuum modelling and high-performance computing.
• Proficiency in C++ and software development best practices.
• Familiarity with high-performance computing methods such as parallelisation.
• Excellent communication and potential to deliver lectures.
• Highly organised with aptitude for programme coordination.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to creation and delivery of course modules and teaching schedule.
• Supervise, assess and exam modules and coursework.
• Oversee written assignments and research projects across continuum and HPC topics.
• Interview applicants during selection process.
• Coordinate and deliver non-examined short courses on advanced topics.
• Oversee seminar series and industry-led modules.
