Job description

Duties
  • The postholder will contribute to teaching, marking and student support across existing and new academic programmes in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience.
  • Working under the supervision of Module Leaders and other academic staff, they will enhance student learning and support the effective delivery of research methods training.
  • The role is designed to support academic staff through assistance with curriculum delivery and academic assessment.
  • This will include the preparation and delivery of learning materials, support for small-group teaching and related learning activities, and the organisation and marking of formative and summative assessment tasks under the guidance of academic staff.
  • The postholder will be expected to ensure that all learning support is delivered in accordance with relevant university policies and procedures, including current health and safety regulations.
  • The successful candidate will have a background in Psychology or a related discipline and be able and motivated to support the delivery of high-quality teaching on the BSc Psychology.
  • They will contribute to teaching, marking, student support, and related administrative activities within the Department, working under the guidance of Module Leaders and other academic staff.
