Birkett House School in Wigston is seeking a permanent full-time Senior Teaching Assistant to join the Wigston site. You will support the teacher in teaching and learning and help direct other teaching assistants within the class team. The school offers a comprehensive professional development programme and a competitive pension scheme.

The role is term-time only with 32.50 hours per week, 8.30am to 3.45pm. Starting salary £20,172 pro rata; FTE £26,832.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 (or working towards this level) or equivalent higher qualification.
• Maths/English qualification to NVQ level 2.

• Support the teacher in delivering teaching and learning for pupils.
• Direct other teaching assistants within the class team.
