Job summary

Hill House School in Lymington, Hampshire is seeking a Senior Teaching Assistant with drive and vision to support high‑quality care and education. The role involves contributing to curriculum development, planning and delivering engaging learning experiences, and mentoring fellow Teaching Assistants under a qualified teacher.

You will work in a team, focus on Literacy and Communication, and may line‑manage a small group of TAs. A flexible, organised communicator is essential.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Teaching Assistant will work under the direction of a qualified teacher assisting students to access a broad curriculum through individual programmes.
• Mentor and coach Teaching Assistants new to the role and support curriculum development with a focus on Literacy and Communication.
• Plan and deliver a range of engaging learning experiences as part of a supportive team.
• Line manage a small group of Teaching Assistants and demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Contribute to safeguarding and DBS compliance as part of a caring residential school environment.
