Your Role

We are looking for an experienced tax professional with a background in one of Yorkshire’s largest in-house tax teams. This role offers the opportunity to advise and influence one of the UK’s largest supermarket retailers.

Supported by the Head of Tax, your responsibilities will include a broad range of tax matters such as transaction tax support, R&D processes, HMRC enquiries, Transfer Pricing, Financing support, and tax compliance including tax accounting under IFRS.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within an established tax team, supporting your career progression.

While the tax team of 10 operates within the finance function, your responsibilities will extend beyond finance into the wider business. You will work across the retail environment, gaining exposure to changing tax legislation to inform decision-making across ASDA.

Candidate Profile

Ideally, you will be a qualified tax manager (ACA or CTA) with a strong corporate tax background, including experience in preparing corporation tax computations and disclosures for statutory accounts.

Additional Information

Asda offers a hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Additional requirements may vary by area, including visiting stores, suppliers, or depots.
