We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our UK Tax & Treasury team. This is a key role offering broad exposure across corporate and indirect tax, with a strong emphasis on compliance, planning, and transaction support.

  • Corporate Tax Compliance & Reporting:
    Take ownership of the corporation tax compliance and reporting obligations for a portfolio of UK trading and holding companies, ensuring timely and accurate filings.

  • UK Group Tax Planning & Risk Management:
    Collaborate closely with the wider team on a range of corporate tax matters, including group tax planning, compliance oversight, risk management, Controlled Foreign Company (CFC) reviews, and transfer pricing.

  • Indirect Tax & Transactional Support:
    Provide strategic tax input on business transactions and projects, as well as ad hoc indirect tax guidance to UK operations.

  • Tax Review & Oversight:
    Review selected indirect tax returns prepared by the UK Finance team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation (scope to be determined).

  • Manage and complete the compliance process for trading and corporate companies (as determined) to ensure an accurate and timely filing of all tax returns and ensure that all legal documentation requirements are fulfilled. This will include ensuring that the tax disclosures in the statutory accounts are accurate, as well as responding to and agreeing HMRC enquiries, making appropriate claims and elections and identifying and implementing process efficiencies to facilitate the Group’s taxcompliance
  • Tax reporting for various business units at each quarter-end, year-end and for thebudget/plan;
  • Provide support to DTT in the managing the reporting of the total UK tax charge and submissionof additional requested key figures to Group Tax on regularbasis;
  • Carry out and assist in the UK group planning (e.g. group losses, CA disclaims etc) and group calculations (e.g. CIR, interest capacity, losses etc) dealing with the interaction of these (including with transfer pricing) and ensuring an accurate and timely filing of all required submissions and ensure thatall legal documentation requirements arefulfilled;
  • Carry out and assist in (as determined) the timely completion of group-wide compliancerequirements (e.g. CFC review, transfer pricing, SAO etc as determined) for the UK group asrequired;
  • Assist in managing the overall UK compliance process, including supporting the DTT in themanagement of HMRC enquiries, across the UK group asrequired;
  • I dentify, implement and maintain opportunities to mitigate the UK direct and indirect taxcharge;
  • Provide support to DTT that UK tax risk management systems, processes and controls arecompliant;
  • Develop and maintain links between the UK tax department, UK finance and operationalteams, including the provision of transaction and project support across alltaxes;
  • Support DTT in tax projects asappropriate;
  • As required, in respect of other taxes (i.e. employee taxes, VAT, CIS, customs, aggregates levy,landfill, tied oiletc) (i) Undertake tax technical reviews of the returns prepared by UKFinance, (ii) Monitor the timely submission and payment of allreturns, (iii) Monitor tax audits i.e. keep contact to HMRC, channel information submission,defend company’s position, report status on regular basis, check/negotiateresults, (iv) Provide technical support on all queries in respect of thesetaxes;
