Job summary

Resourcing Group is supporting a successful Scottish law firm to recruit a Senior Tax Advisor for their Private Client team in Edinburgh. The role focuses on personal tax, succession planning, trusts and executries, with support from partners and senior colleagues.

The candidate will build trusted client relationships, provide clear tax advice, and contribute to the growth of the team. Full-time with flexible working options and potential STEP development are offered.

Qualifications

• ATT or CTA qualified, or qualified by experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist tax and succession planning advice to private clients, including landed estates, rural businesses, trusts, executries and high-net-worth families.
• Advise on personal tax, Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Income Tax, trusts and executry taxation.
• Support clients with succession planning matters, including Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief.
• Advise on the tax aspects of land transactions and heritable property matters.
• Work closely with partners and senior colleagues to deliver high-quality technical advice and excellent client service.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, communicating complex tax matters clearly and commercially.
• Contribute to business development activity, internal training and cross-service line referral opportunities.
