SENIOR TAX ADVISOR - HYBRID AVAILABLE| RINGWOOD | £40k-£60k DOE + BONUS

Our client, a well-established and approachable accountancy firm with offices in the Ringwood and Wimborne area, is looking for a qualified tax professional (ACA, ACCA, or CTA) to step into a commercially strategic advisory role. This is ideal for someone who thrives on complex tax challenges, understands business dynamics, and enjoys turning technical tax knowledge into practical solutions.

If you're confident working with HMRC guidance and enjoy helping business owners while delivering clear solutions - this role would be ideal.

This is a senior-level, advisory-focused role where you’ll play a key part in the strategic development of tax planning across the firm’s client base. There will be plenty of opportunity for growth while working here. Working alongside senior leadership, you’ll help define tax approaches and deliver solutions that drive real value for owner-managed businesses. You will be focussed on:

  • Delivering tailored tax planning and advisory support with a strong commercial focus
  • Advising clients on business structure, succession, and growth strategies
  • Leading on company restructures and business transitions
  • Providing expert guidance on income tax, CGT, trusts, estates, and ideally stamp duty
  • Supporting the preparation of company accounts with a tax strategy focus
  • Managing HMRC interactions, from enquiries to compliance reviews
  • Staying up to date with legislation and translating complex rules into clear, actionable advice

The ideal candidate is both technically skilled and commercially astute — someone who sees beyond numbers to the bigger picture. Strong communication skills, especially in simplifying complex tax matters for clients, are essential. A collaborative mindset and cultural fit with the team are highly valued. We are looking for some who has:

  • ACA / ACCA / CTA qualification
  • A strong track record in both personal and corporate tax areas, including CGT, income tax, and trusts
  • Prior experience advising owner-managed businesses
  • Knowledge of complex restructuring and high-level advisory work
  • Comfortable interpreting and applying HMRC guidance
  • Desirable: Familiarity with stamp duty, EMI schemes, and corporate restructuring strategies

Based in Ringwood, with the option to work in a hybrid capacity. Flexible working arrangements can be considered for the right candidate.
