Company Description

Cell therapies have been shown to cure devastating and previously untreatable diseases like cancer by re-programming the patient's own immune system. Giving more patients access to these life-saving therapies requires a revolution in manufacturing and process automation.

Cellular Origins, a TTP Company, is enabling scalable, cost-effective, and efficient manufacture of cell and gene therapies. Our technology addresses the challenges associated with manufacturing at scale with an elegant robotic manufacturing automation solution that reduces cost and labour, eliminates human error, and increases efficiency.

Job Description

As a Senior Systems Integration Engineer, you'll be at the heart of product delivery, playing a pivotal role in developing our robotic automated manufacturing system for cell therapy manufacturing. You'll be responsible for integrating hardware and software subsystems to enable seamless integration of the Constellation system throughout the development process.

This role involves close collaboration with the multi-disciplinary product team to shape technology development. Responsibilities include electro-mechanical device assembly, hands-on testing, and experimental work to ensure subsystem compatibility within Constellation. You will also lead product and process improvements to deliver a reliable and robust system and coordinate the transfer from product development to verification activities.

Join a fast-growing, interdisciplinary team passionate about solving meaningful problems. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a technically challenging, impact-driven venture, working alongside bright and dedicated peers to define the future of cell therapy manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline with at least 5 years of industry experience.
  • Proven experience in integrating and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems, preferably in a product development setting.
  • Strong technical analysis and documentation skills, including designing experiment protocols, analyzing results, and reporting findings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, including source control.
  • Experience with software tools for developing test scripts, processing log files, and managing database contents.
  • Familiarity with industrial network communication protocols and robotic prototyping software such as ROS1 or ROS2 is advantageous but not essential.
