MBDA UK is seeking a Systems Engineer/Architect to contribute to a key multinational cruise‑missile project. You will apply architecture principles, model‑based systems engineering and lifecycle thinking to deliver technical solutions across development stages.
You will join a team of weapon system architects in a multinational environment (UK, France, Italy), reporting to the STRATUS LO Architecture Lead as part of the STRATUS LO project.
A Systems Engineer is sought to work on a key multinational project for next generation weapon systems. The role focuses on applying architecture principles, tools and techniques to provide technical solutions for projects from early development stages, operating in the solution space.
Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 - 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
You will join a department with highly skilled Weapon System Architects working across MBDA UK’s current and future weapon systems. The department focuses on growth and developing a team of experienced System Architects comfortable working in the problem space, reporting to the STRATUS LO Weapon System Architecture Lead as part of the STRATUS LO project team.
You will work on a key multinational (UK, France and Italy) next generation cruise-missile weapon system development project. The approach includes agile thinking and lifecycle engineering with model-based systems engineering to meet delivery timescales.

Contribute as a Systems Engineer/Architect with understanding of complex weapon/missile systems, sub-systems, platforms and their architecting. Model systems using model-based methods, processes and tools with an understanding of the system development lifecycle. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary, multinational teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Present and walk through concepts and technical content to internal and external audiences.
