Job summary

GKN Aerospace is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer at our Bristol Global Technology Centre. You will shape the future of flight by embedding modern systems engineering across Software, Controls, Structures, Prototyping, and Electrical & Cryogenic systems.

You will lead systems thinking across the portfolio and drive a digital-thread approach with integrated tools. You will develop a Systems Engineering Framework, ensure consistency across programmes, and mentor junior engineers while

Qualifications

Experience in systems engineering lifecycle (ISO/IEC 15288, INCOSE) with MBSE (SysML).
Hands-on experience using Codebeamer for requirements management, traceability, and reporting.
Knowledge of requirements elicitation, decomposition, interface management, V&V planning.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support across the full technology engineering lifecycle using Systems Engineering methods.
Develop and deploy a Systems Engineering Framework aligned to aerospace technology development.
Champion Codebeamer integration for requirements capture and governance.
Produce dashboard compliance reporting for safety, quality and regulatory requirements; maintain Wiki knowledge management.
Mentor and develop junior engineers to improve team capability.
