Job summary

ARCH EUROPE INSURANCE SERVICES LTD is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Team Lead) to manage the firm’s infrastructure, including AD, Azure, MFA, VMware ESX, and Windows security. The role involves leading the Cloud & Compute Engineering group, driving automation, and ensuring high availability and security across production environments.

The candidate should have strong PowerShell scripting, AD, Azure, and VMware experience, with leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in production support
• 3–5 years managing/troubleshooting authentication services
• 5+ years automation experience (PowerShell/Scripts/Terraform)
• Advanced Active Directory experience (Windows Server 2019/2016)
• Knowledge of AKS, Kerberos, LDAP, DNS, DHCP
• Experience with backup/recovery and DR strategies
• Security-focused with enterprise cloud experience (Azure)
• Experience with Windows scripting and administration

Responsibilities

• Lead AD consolidation and security remediation efforts
• Oversee Azure Iaas/PaaS and Office 365/Exchange Online operations
• Install and maintain hardware/software on a virtualized Windows network
• Develop processes to ensure availability, security and quality
• Provide escalation guidance for complex production issues
• Manage crisis situations and schedule flexibility for escalations
