Senior Systems Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer

Guildford, Surrey - 2x days per week

£60,000 - £70,000 benefits

Fruition IT is currently partnering with a reputable tech-for-good organization in Guildford. You will be involved in significant upcoming projects and support BAU activities.

Your responsibilities include designing and implementing new infrastructure platforms, creating documentation, managing infrastructure to improve stability, availability, and performance, and providing operational support as a technical escalation point for major incidents.

What will I be doing?

• Systems administration, support, and maintenance of global infrastructure (Active Directory, Hardware & Virtual Servers)
• Serving as an escalation point for support teams and junior staff
• Procurement and management of hardware & software
• Liaising with external service providers
• Designing and implementing infrastructure enhancements

What do I need?

• Extensive enterprise-level IT infrastructure experience
• Windows Server and Desktop, Microsoft Operating Systems
• Hardware support (Netapp, Pure, Dell, HP, etc.)
• Virtualization (VMware)
• M365 and SharePoint management
• Strong SQL experience; DBA experience is a bonus
• PowerShell automation skills
• Relevant certifications from vendors like Microsoft and Cisco; ITIL certification is preferred
