Job description

Senior Systems Engineer

Location: Newbridge

Type: Permanent

Salary: £42,650 - £50,000K (Negotiable depending on experience)

RSW is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join a government contract manufacturer based in Newbridge. The successful candidate will serve as the Technical Lead for a team of 6.

Role Purpose:

To lead and coordinate machine programs and production documentation, ensuring accurate interpretation and flow-down of customer build standards to the production environment.

Key Outcomes:

  • Ensure smooth operation of all manufacturing software.
  • Act as the main department liaison between IT, Head of Security, and Production.
  • Manage and plan department workload to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure customer information is accurate and ready for production start.
  • Support NPI programs, documentation, and transition into mass production.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate factory manufacturing software and systems.
  • Lead and motivate staff according to defined roles and responsibilities.
  • Assess solder paste stencil requirements and communicate for ordering.
  • Ensure machine programs are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Generate SWP and documentation.
  • Participate in RFQ, handover, and technical review meetings for NPI.
  • Maintain control over secure documents and data.
  • Conduct department training as needed.
  • Keep all machine software packages up to date.
  • Adhere to company operating values, quality management, health and safety, legal, environmental policies, and duty of care.
  • Monitor department performance against KPIs daily.
  • Lead and review information at monthly technical and quality meetings, driving improvements.
  • Develop and implement new systems and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Perform any other duties as necessary.
