Job title: Senior Systems Engineer - Architecture

What you'll be doing:

• Provide input, in the form of technical knowledge, advice and support across engineering and engineering supporting teams in all phases of the engineering lifecycle
• Provide technical input to Life Cycle Management deliverables and Design Reviews
• Support the development of Submarine systems through identifying the need for, developing, communicating and maintaining logical, physical and functional system architectures
• Provide technical input, review and support into projects beyond immediate scope as an independent thereof
• Guide and aid in the development of more junior engineers and staff from other disciplines, domains and functions
• Operate programme/business specific toolsets to advance the above tasks

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle with experience of operating in the concept/design phase and awareness of the entire engineering lifecycle
• STEM related degree or previous experience within the Automotive/Defence/Telecommunications/Nuclear environment
• Worked on concept/designs or early proof of concept

Desirable:

• INCOSE membership

BAE Systems Submarines is experiencing a period of significant growth and we are now actively recruiting a variety of roles and specialisms to support our ongoing submarines programs which is critical to delivering our national endeavour.

The Senior Engineer - Systems Engineering (Architecture) will be able to apply their subject matter expertise and domain experience to support more senior roles in their team and other stake holding teams in providing the definition of the system and sub-system structure, interfaces and associated derived requirements.
