As a Desktop Support Engineer, you'll be the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring our staff can work efficiently whether in the office or remotely. You'll also contribute to automation and optimization projects that improve our technology landscape
How you'll make an impactResponsibilities- User Support
- Providing 1st line support to our end-users to ensure all IT equipment is performing at its optimum level and that Servicedesk tickets are responded to and solved within their agreed Service level Agreements.
- Analysing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, escalating to 2nd line support if required.
- Providing on-site support to our London office and supporting remote workers.
- Creating new user accounts and archiving and removing leaver accounts.
- Device & Software Management
- Installing new hardware and software - using our automation tools Intune and Autopilot.
- Provisioning laptops for new staff members and for laptop refreshes using Microsoft Intune.
- Troubleshooting meeting room AV and VC issues
- Collaboration & Communication Tools
- Collaborating with colleagues to fix issues or action tasks
- Communicating issues, problems or new features using tools such as Microsoft Teams
- Continuous Improvement
- Proactively researching new Office 365 features and suggest tools to keep our technology fresh and at the forefront of our industry.
The Desktop Support Engineer is a key role in helping us to maintain the first class service to our users and allowing our IT team to continue with our value adding projects.
About YouQualifications- Experience in IT support
- A love for technology
- Experience with Windows 10 and 11
- Experience with Office 365 products
- Proactive and focused approach
- Comfortable with hands-on solving, including physical setup and maintenance of hardware and meeting room AV equipment
- Ability to adapt to internal processes and procedures, update and build user guides.
- Ability to prioritise and handle various tasks
- Good Communication skills
It would be super if you also have:
- Knowledge and experience with meeting room video conferencing kit such as Logitech, Yealink and Crestron.
