Responsibilities
- Design and develop Training Systems equipment, network, and software, focusing on performance prediction and installation design to meet customer requirements within budget.
- Apply Systems Engineering principles and company standards to resolve engineering issues for Training Systems products.
- Manage stakeholder requirements using tools like IBM DOORS Next and develop system architectures with tools like CATIA Magic (Cameo).
- Produce and maintain system design documentation, procurement specifications, and support system integration, testing, and acceptance activities.
- Contribute to safety activities, prototype solutions, and support bid proposal development.
Qualifications
- Higher education or equivalent in STEM disciplines.
- Chartered Engineer status or relevant professional accreditation (e.g., IET MIET CEng, INCOSE ASEP/CSEP).
Essential Skills
- Understanding of engineering principles and systems thinking.
- Experience with Systems Engineering standards (. ISO 15288).
- Strong problem-solving skills in creative and analytical areas.
Desired Skills
- Experience in software design, electrical regulations, and contemporary design methodologies (. UAF, NAF, TOGAF, SysML, UML).
- Knowledge of emerging technologies (MBSE, digital twins, AI/ML, IoT) and the defense industry context.
- Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
Experience
- System integration, testing, and requirements management (. IBM DOORS Next).
