A leading motorsport organization based in London is seeking an enthusiastic engineer with a strong background in embedded electronics. This role involves architecting systems for F1 events, collaborating with technical teams, and supporting the deployment of solutions. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Electronics engineering and have experience in embedded systems development, with excellent planning and documentation skills. Opportunities to attend F1 races are included.
The Formula 1 Electronics department produces a wide range of customised and bespoke solutions to support the timing, televising, and organisation of Formula 1 events. We architect and design embedded systems for F1 cars to provide team telemetry and driver/engineer audio, and to deliver on-board video and audio for F1 broadcasters and digital platforms. This is in addition to a variety of other electronics solutions designed by our small inhouse team to support any aspect of an F1 event. We are looking for an enthusiastic, focus-driven engineer with a passion for all aspects of embedded electronics to complement our small and efficient team of systems, hardware and embedded software engineers.
You will need to have a solid background in electronics engineering with experience in embedded system development. You will need to be able to architect systems, lead technical teams, understand project management principles, interface with internal and external stakeholders, and be able to support and, where necessary, debug systems out in the field. You should have a product focus, with a desire to see solutions through the complete design cycle from requirements capture through to deployment. You should be able to work with hardware and software specialists to deliver solutions. You may need to attend F1 races to support products during the deployment, handover phases, and initial support of the projects you work on.
