This role requires travel within the region of responsibility, which for this position is London and the south.

Job Functions

1. Engage with end users and Veeam partners to establish and translate business objectives into technical requirements.
2. Create content and deliver presentations and demonstrations to decision makers, virtually and in person.
3. Manage the technical evaluation stage of the sales process as a main technical advisor for Veeam solutions.
4. Provide pre-sales assistance such as POCs, Hands-on Labs, and Bootcamps during customer evaluations of Veeam software.
5. Maintain accurate records of customer and partner engagement activities on the CRM platform (Salesforce).
6. Collaborate with Veeam's value-added resellers on training, joint meetings, and relationship building.
7. Support lead generation activities like events, webinars, and user groups.
8. Work closely with Veeam Product Development and Engineering to relay customer feedback.
9. Participate in cross-functional initiatives to increase efficiencies and add long-term value, such as TCO & ROI calculators and hands-on labs.

Knowledge & Requirements

1. Experience in a pre-sales role within IT.
2. Prior experience with or deploying Veeam solutions.
3. VMCE certification is advantageous; all SEs can obtain VMCE and VMCA certifications once in the role.
4. Deep experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV) and related technologies (SANs, hyper-converged storage, networking).
5. Working knowledge of public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
6. Familiarity with SaaS platforms like Microsoft Office 365 and Salesforce.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Comfortable presenting to groups remotely and in person.
9. Availability to travel across UK & Ireland.
10. Self-starter with quick learning ability for new technologies.
11. Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with changing roles and responsibilities.
