Job summary

ITI Group seeks an experienced Real-time Information Systems professional to design, implement and maintain AVEVA PI System‑based solutions. You will work with clients to define requirements, produce design and test specifications, and deliver robust RTIS applications.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and support on-site or remote deployments across client sites, with a focus on safety, quality, and continual learning.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AVEVA PI System and its integration with real‑time data.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge and experience in automation through scripting or similar.
• Experience working on client sites.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computing related field.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a wide range of tasks related to the design, implementation, maintenance, and delivery of Real-time Information Systems solutions.
• Work with clients to identify solutions and enhancements for their systems that are appropriate to the needs of the clients.
• Produce Requirements Specifications and input to Design Specifications.
• Develop and execute Test Specifications.
• Design and develop applications as part of Real-time Information Systems, principally using the AVEVA PI System.
• Give clear, effective updates to Project Managers on status of their work.
• Work with other engineers and teams to review and clarify client requirements.
• Investigate and resolve problems with Real-time Information Systems.
• Work on client sites either in person or remotely.

SUMMARY OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with developing technical proposals.
• Set up and install RtIS (PI) servers and Interface nodes.
• Identify, clarify and resolve problems directly with customers
• Encourage and champion changes and improvements as opportunities arise.
• Engage in continuous learning to develop technical skills and knowledge relevant to system integration.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, to ensure successful project delivery.
• Have line management responsibility for assigned team
• Follow all health and safety regulations, procedures and protocols.
• Assist with any other duties reasonably requested and in line with the requirements of the post.
• Successfully complete all identified training both in-house and external, as required.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for:

Experience and Knowledge

• Excellent knowledge and experience of the AVEVA PI System
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge and experience in automation through the use of scripting or other similar means
• Experience working on client sites
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computing related degree.
