Job summary

We seek a proactive and technically skilled Senior System Administrator to support our Linux, Windows, and VMware environments. This role requires a deep understanding of Linux administration, Dell EMC storage management, VMware administration, disaster recovery (DR) technology, and network setups. The ideal candidate will be adept at investigating and resolving Linux, VMware, storage, backup, and networking issues, and will collaborate closely with local and central IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage 200+ Linux & Windows servers, ensuring patching, incident resolution, and compliance.
  2. Configure & maintain DRBD failover for KVM, virtual infrastructures (KVM, VMware), and Docker environments.
  3. Support open-source tools (Stunnel, reverse proxy, Zabbix) & enhance security using Ansible, Terraform, Python.
  4. Maintain storage systems (Dell Compellent, EMC) & PowerEdge servers.
  5. Collaborate with project & dev teams, provide on-call support, and adapt to evolving technologies.
  6. Handle firewalls, network configurations, data center racking/cabling, and troubleshoot backups.
  7. Troubleshoot backup-related issues.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. Extensive experience in Linux administration, including patching, DRBD, KVM, VMware, and iDRAC management.
  3. Expertise in open-source tools like Stunnel, Zabbix, and reverse proxy management.
  4. Advanced skills in building Linux environments, private cloud migration, and maintaining Docker containers.
  5. Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Proven ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business units.
  7. Ability to thrive both independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
