Our Sustainability team helps clients measure, manage, and reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, achieving broader sustainability goals. Our services include:

Our Cities & Workplaces team is growing due to rising demand. We seek individuals experienced in building certification and/or real estate decarbonization to strengthen our resources.

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Senior or Principal Consultant to join our sustainability team. The role involves leading our Life Cycle Assessment team in the UK, focusing on the environmental impact of materials. Supported by our UK and international teams, you'll promote our services and industry leadership, with a focus on business development. You will quickly learn our innovative services to expand our market capacity.

Working with multidisciplinary colleagues, you will design, analyze, report, model, and document sustainability projects, and present to clients to grow our project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing delivery of LCA projects and bids
  • Supporting clients in decarbonization targets and pathways
  • Assisting senior team members in project delivery
  • Engaging with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Appraising building fabric and materials
  • Writing technical reports
  • Analyzing large datasets and producing clear outputs
  • Supporting junior and senior colleagues
  • Ensuring quality assurance
  • Recommending low-carbon measures
  • Presenting results to clients
  • Understanding building design and materials
  • Using tools like OneClick LCA, etool
  • Training staff in WLCA modeling
  • Undertaking lifecycle assessments for certifications like BREEAM, LEED
  • Preparing tenders and proposals
  • Managing supply chains
  • Developing carbon reduction strategies
  • Liaising with clients and designers on low-carbon measures

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, architecture, or related field, with knowledge of building materials and embodied carbon
  • Experience in lifecycle or whole life carbon modeling
  • Knowledge of environmental impacts and assessments
  • Experience advising on low-carbon solutions
  • Business development skills
  • Excellent communication and initiative
