Placements24 is seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join a leading environmental consultancy in Randburg, Gauteng. The role focuses on integrating sustainability into building design, achieving green certifications, and reducing environmental impact.

You will lead assessments, advise on energy efficiency, and collaborate with project teams to deliver high-performing, sustainable buildings. A strong background in building physics and certifications is required.

Formación

• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in building sustainability consulting.
• Experience managing green building certification processes (Green Star SA, LEED).
• Proficiency in energy modeling software (IES VE, eQUEST).
• Strong understanding of building physics, HVAC systems, renewable energy, and materials.

Responsabilidades

• Lead sustainability assessments and strategy development for building projects.
• Advise clients and design teams on energy efficiency, water conservation, and material selection.
• Manage the process for obtaining green building certifications (e.g., Green Star SA, LEED).
• Conduct energy modeling and performance simulations using specialized software.
• Prepare detailed sustainability reports, recommendations, and documentation.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure sustainability goals are met.
• Stay abreast of evolving sustainability regulations, rating tools, and industry trends.
• Mentor junior sustainability consultants and contribute to team knowledge development.
• Engage with clients to communicate the value and benefits of sustainable design.
• Contribute to the development of innovative sustainable solutions for the built environment.
