Job Title: Senior Sustainability Consultant

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Alderley Edge, Edinburgh, or London

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

We are currently seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join the Group Sustainability & Stewardship team on a permanent basis. This position can be based in Alderley Edge, Edinburgh, or London.

As part of the Group Sustainability & Stewardship team (GSS), you will provide consultancy advice, analysis, and insights, supporting the Group on sustainability and stewardship issues.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative team and help other teams incorporate climate change and sustainability considerations into business decisions and organizational practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze, challenge, and oversee the operational emissions process, from data collection to calculation and reporting, aligned with the GHG Protocol and PCAF, serving as SME.
2. Assist with the portfolio emissions process through review and challenge, including investment data knowledge.
3. Design and implement the carbon offset strategy, gaining buy-in from senior stakeholders.
4. Provide consultancy, research, and insights on sustainability topics, including peer research, regulatory guidance, and industry best practices.
5. Support teams in integrating climate change and sustainability considerations into decision-making and practices.
6. Identify improvements to sustainability approaches, evaluate alternatives, and recommend new considerations, factoring in risk, costs, and benefits.
7. Support team members with daily objectives and act as a first review where necessary.
