Senior Sustainability and ESG Advisory Consultant

About the Role

At WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects, contribute to global sustainability efforts, and collaborate with a diverse team of experts. We are seeking a passionate professional to support our ESG consultancy business and help shape a sustainable future.

Your Team

You will be part of a dynamic team that:

• Prepares organizations to pursue meaningful sustainability and ESG strategies, including target setting (e.g., science-based targets, net zero roadmaps)
• Collaborates with technical teams, engineers, ecologists, and external stakeholders
• Offers opportunities for learning, development, and career progression

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior stakeholder engagement workshops for clients such as IKEA and National Highways
• Assist a global development bank in implementing environmental and sustainability programs using WSP's future-ready principles
• Undertake GRESB reporting for a UK airport across various modules
• Help a startup fiber network company baseline carbon emissions and set net zero targets aligned with GHG Protocol and science-based targets
• Implement ESG management systems for clients in transport and logistics
• Manage proposals and business development activities across private and public sectors

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant degree and/or master's in sustainability, environment, geography, business, or related fields
• Experience in consultancy, developing sustainability, net zero, and ESG strategies
• Experience working with corporate clients across sectors
• Proven ability to develop bids and manage projects
• Strong research, analytical, writing, and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team management experience
