Join Our Commercial Valuations Team as a Senior Surveyor in London

We have an exciting growth opportunity for an experienced RICS registered valuer to join our commercial valuations team based in London. The post holder will contribute to expanding the Commercial valuations business, build client relations, and collaborate with existing department Partners to grow the team.

Our valuations cover a wide range of properties across the country, including residential development, viability assessments, commercial and mixed-use developments, industrial warehouses, offices, and retail properties.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work within the existing valuation team in London, providing valuations for loan security (vacant possession and investment), internal decision-making, tax, and financial reporting purposes.
2. Conduct inspections, calculate floor and site areas, perform comparable research, demographic and economic research, handle planning and statutory enquiries, analyze company trading, read and summarize leases, review development/option agreements, and prepare valuations and development appraisals.
3. Contribute to business growth by identifying new opportunities within the Commercial valuation sector.
4. Assist in delivering major projects.
5. Prepare financial and client reports.
6. Deliver valuation reports in accordance with client instructions and RICS Valuation Standards.
7. Participate in developing and implementing an effective profit centre business plan aligned with Carter Jonas' vision.

What Does It Take to Be Successful?

You should be an experienced chartered surveyor and registered valuer with strong knowledge of valuations across commercial assets. Leadership skills are essential, including managing a team and handling key clients across the region. A good understanding of the local market and the ability to identify new business opportunities are highly desirable. Travel will be required, and a valid driving license is essential.
