Job Description:

Our client, based in Bristol, is currently recruiting for a Lead Damp and Mould Surveyor on a one-year fixed term contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis and the salary for the role is £53,509.

The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out Damp and Mould Surveys across a patch of social housing properties, liaising with tenants regarding both ways to avoid issues and programmes of work and organising for contractors to carry out damp and mould works.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Playing a key part regarding the organisations response to damp and mould and ensuring swift and effective resolutions to issues
  • Managing complex cases, including legal disrepair and housing health and safety rating system (HHSRS) category 1 hazards
  • Producing detailed technical reports and reaching out to contractors for specialist works that need to be carried out
  • Managing and supporting a team of surveyors, providing technical leadership, training, and quality assurance to ensure consistent, high-standard investigations and reporting
  • Undertaking post inspections to ensure that specifications are being met
  • Liaise with internal teams (Repairs, Asset Management, Tenancy Services) and external contractors to coordinate effective delivery of works and follow-up inspections

  • Up to date knowledge around damp and mould legislation

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
