Permanent role

Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical expert on building surveying matters, including legal disrepair claims, housing condition inspections, and asset management.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, including evidence suitable for court, and attend hearings as an expert witness when required.
  • Support the delivery of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes, including component inspections, specification advice, and contractor management.
  • Inspect and diagnose defects, identify solutions, and ensure works are delivered to appropriate standards.
  • Deliver excellent standards of customer care when managing tenant enquiries, complaints, and permissions requests.
About you
  • Chartered status (MRICS)
  • Degree in Building Surveying (or related discipline)
  • Proven background in property surveying, building consultancy, or asset management
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, construction standards, and health & safety legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence and build trusted relationships
  • Full UK driving license and own transport (or ability to travel effectively to various locations not easily accessed by public transport)
