Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Senior Surveyor to lead property management across a diverse commercial portfolio in London. You will protect and enhance asset value through proactive management and strong stakeholder engagement.

The role focuses on rent and service charge administration, reporting, and ensuring lease compliance, together with health and safety standards and sustainability initiatives. You will build enduring client and occupier relationships and contribute to performance

• Proven property management experience in commercial real estate.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial properties ensuring efficiency and alignment with client objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, occupiers, asset managers and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver management reports with clear analysis and recommendations.
• Oversee tenant liaison activities including lease-related enquiries, alterations, assignments and subletting requests.
• Manage rent, service charge and other income collection processes, working to targets.
• Prepare, monitor and manage service charge budgets, reconciliations and non-recoverable expenditure.
• Ensure compliance with lease obligations and support landlord/tenant requirements.
• Conduct regular property inspections and identify opportunities to enhance asset performance.
• Collaborate with facilities management to maintain health and safety compliance.
• Support sustainability initiatives with property-specific environmental plans.
• Monitor contractor performance and contribute to procurement and contract management.
• Identify opportunities to add value for clients while maximising fee income and service delivery.

As a Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for protecting and enhancing the value of client assets through effective property management, strong stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of industry-leading service standards. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring assets are operated efficiently and in line with client objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, occupiers, asset managers, and other key stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver management reports, providing clear analysis and recommendations.
• Oversee tenant liaison activities, including lease-related enquiries, alterations, assignments, and subletting requests.
• Manage rent, service charge, and other income collection processes, working to achieve agreed collection targets.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage service charge budgets, reconciliations, and non-recoverable expenditure.

• Collaborate with facilities management teams to maintain compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.

• Identify opportunities to add value for clients while maximising fee income and service delivery standards.

Knowledge and Experience

• Proven property management experience within a commercial real estate environment.
• Strong understanding of landlord and tenant matters, service charge management, and lease administration.
• Experience preparing client reports, budgets, and financial information.
• Knowledge of multi-let commercial properties, investment portfolios, retail assets, or similar property sectors.
• Experience managing property portfolios is desirable.
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver excellent service to clients and occupiers.

Qualifications and Education

• RICS qualification, or an equivalent property management qualification, is desirable.
• Relevant professional property management experience will also be considered.
• Continued professional development and commitment to industry best practice are advantageous.
