Senior Survey Analyst - Receivables Finance

The Asset Based Lending ("ABL") Senior Survey Analyst role is within Global Trade Solutions (GTS) / Transaction Risk Management (TRM). GTS is a key strategic business recognized as a leading trade provider globally and regionally.

The role involves performing Field Surveys on Sellers utilizing Receivables / Inventory / Trade facilities, evaluating collateral, and understanding working capital cycles where GTS provides facilities.

HSBC prioritizes International Trade and aims to position itself as a primary provider of Trade Finance solutions worldwide.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct Field Surveys on Receivables Finance and Trade customers, independently identifying and managing product-related risks, and producing high-quality survey reports.
  • Collaborate with GTS Client Management, Sales teams, and Transaction Risk Management.
  • Assess the value of collateral (Receivables / Inventory) under Seller agreements, ensuring security of funding.
  • Support positive client experiences through trade advice and building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Understand and meet performance expectations, complete mandatory training, and develop necessary skills.
  • Apply policies and standards to ensure quality, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements for success:

  • Strong knowledge of RF and ABL products, ability to conduct field surveys and collateral valuations.
  • Good analytical and judgment skills, accountability for decisions.
  • Financial analysis skills, with experience reviewing financial statements and auditing.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
  • Knowledge of RF products and HSBC Group products (desirable).
  • Valid driver's license for extensive travel within the region, with flexibility for travel outside hours and overnight stays.
