Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting two Surgical First Assistants to support the Wythenshawe Hospital theatres team. You will assist in robotic and other procedures, lead when required, and help drive patient safety and perioperative efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years scrub experience, ODP or RGN qualification, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team across shifts including weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• Qualification in ODP or RGN (required).
• 5 years scrub experience.
• Recognised management qualification.
• Recognised teaching qualification.

Responsabilités

• Assist in a range of surgical procedures across robotic specialties.
• Work with theatre team; act as Team Leader when not in the SFA role.
• Provide clinical coordination to ensure high-quality care.
• Organise and prioritise care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Facilitate communication between teams and departments.
• Demonstrate leadership and professional conduct at all times.
• Support theatre manager with budget-related tasks and policy adherence.
• Ensure compliance with Trust policies and national guidelines.
