Senior SURF Subsea Structures Engineer - Ultra-Deepwater

Job summary

Brunel is recruiting a SURF Structures Engineer with 15+ years’ subsea structures experience for a 12-month renewable contract in London, UK, starting February 2027 (subject to FID). The role covers design, procurement and construction follow-up for a major ultra-deep-water offshore project.

You will work within a large, multinational team, interfacing with Contractors, Suppliers and HQ technical teams to deliver technical documentation and key project milestones on time.

Qualifications

• 15 years’ experience in subsea structures including FLETs, ILTs, foundations, pipe supports/sleepers, anchoring piles and related fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of codes (DNV, ASME, API & ISO).
• Experience with large offshore SURF EPCI projects and deepwater design.
• Ability to work in large, multicultural teams with contractors, suppliers and HQ.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for SURF subsea structures design, procurement and construction follow-up.
• Reviewing, approving and managing studies, drawings, specifications and procedures.
• Oversee EPSCC subsea structures engineering activities.
• Prepare and deliver flowline structures and other subsea components.
• Define and maintain technical documentation for subsea structures.
• Support development and maintenance of project management documents (SOR, FDP, PEP, PQP, Risks).
• Ensure follow-up/validation of progress by the Contractor and suppliers.
• Supervise detailed engineering and review documentation from SURF Contractor and fabrication yards.
