Job Description:

We are looking for Senior Support Workers to join our Specialist Support Service in Ty Hiraeth, Llanelli. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to be part of a fantastic team working in an exceptional Residential service.

Reporting into the Registered Manager, the Senior Support Worker is responsible for helping to lead the staff team, advocating and providing person-centred care, and supporting our staff team to perform their duties effectively, ensuring the best possible care for the people we support.

The Role

You will need to be:

  • Committed to providing an excellent level of care for vulnerable people with mental health issues, Autism, and Learning Disabilities.
  • Proficient in English with good reading and writing skills, and a good standard of numeracy.
  • Knowledgeable about issues related to equal opportunities and their impact on employees and service users.
  • Able to work independently, possibly taking sole responsibility for a service or area during a shift.
  • An effective communicator at all levels.

Senior Support Workers are required to work 37.5 hours a week.

Qualifications

Applicants should have attained their QCF Level 2 qualification and be working towards a QCF Level 3 qualification. Registration with Social Care Wales is mandatory. Proven experience in care is essential.
