Job Description:

We are looking for Senior Support Workers to join our Specialist Support Service in Tegfan, Ammanford. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to be part of a fantastic team working in an exceptional Residential service.

Reporting into the Registered Manager, the Senior Support Worker is responsible for helping to lead the staff team, advocating and providing person-centred care, and supporting our staff team to perform their duties effectively, ensuring the best possible care for the people we support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent care for vulnerable people with mental health issues, Autism, and Learning Disabilities.
  • Maintaining good standards of written and spoken English and numeracy.
  • Understanding issues related to equal opportunities and their impact on staff and service users.
  • Working independently, including taking sole responsibility during shifts.
  • Effective communication at all levels.

Senior Support Workers are required to work 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have attained QCF Level 2, be working towards QCF Level 3, be registered with Social Care Wales, and have proven care experience.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year in care required.
