Job summary

Priory Group is seeking a male Senior Support Worker for Woodhouse Cottage in East Ardsley, West Yorkshire. The home supports six adult males with a male-only team, and only male candidates are considered due to resident needs.

You will lead a compassionate team, supervise care delivery, administer medication, manage records, and help residents participate in meaningful activities. The role offers full-time hours and opportunities for development within Priory Group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, coach, and motivate others.
• Committed to promoting choice, dignity, and independence for those we support.
• Knowledge of care standards, policies, and safeguarding practices.
• Reliable, flexible, and proactive in problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred care.
• Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers and role allocation.
• Ensure residents have person-centred plans and participate in meaningful activities.
• Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
• Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
• Monitor and support team performance, addressing issues as needed.
