Job description

Hours of Work: Average of 37.5 hours per week. Day shifts with varied start and finish times, including bank holidays and weekends.

Project Description

The project is located in Cardiff and works with homeless and vulnerably housed individuals. It provides residential support aimed at meeting individuals’ needs, promoting independence, and facilitating sustainable move-on. Funded through the Supporting People Programme Grant, the project aligns with the Welsh Government’s National Outcomes Framework, which includes:

  • Promoting Personal and Community Safety
  • Promoting Independence and Control
  • Promoting Economic Progress and Financial Control
  • Promoting Health and Wellbeing

Purpose of Role

The role involves coordinating and providing residential support to enable Service Users to address housing and personal difficulties, build skills and confidence, and improve their ability to maintain future accommodation. Support will be person-centered, involving 'doing with' rather than 'doing for,' such as accompanying Service Users to activities or appointments to foster independence. The role also includes managing housing needs to ensure a safe, secure, and effective service.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
