Job summary

Salutem Care and Education is seeking a seasoned Senior Support Worker to lead shifts, mentor staff, and deliver high-quality, person-centred care in our residential services. You will develop care plans, monitor health and wellbeing, and ensure safe medication management while upholding safeguarding and equality.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and social care, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
• Ability to lead shifts and mentor junior staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff during shifts, promoting best practice and person-centred care.
• Deliver and oversee tailored support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion.
• Support the development and review of care plans, risk assessments and outcome-focused support plans.
• Monitor individuals' health and wellbeing, liaising with healthcare professionals as required.
• Ensure safe medication management, accurate record keeping, and compliance with policies.
• Support PBS approaches and guide staff in managing complex behaviours.
• Promote safeguarding, human rights and wellbeing of individuals.
• Complete audits, quality checks and contribute to service improvement and CQC compliance.
• Oversee financial records and support budgeting and money management where appropriate.
• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment with health and safety standards.
