Job description

Senior Support Worker – Between Swansea and Pontarddulais at Beech Tree Farm and Graig Y Bedw - Hourly Rate: £12. 80 to £13.7 0 dependent on qualifications and experience -Full-time: 45.5 hours per week . (Temporary maternity cover)

A day in the life of a Senior Support Worker with Priority Childcare involves:

Providing leadership to less experienced staff to ensure the development of best individual care practice and optimal outcomes for the chil dren and young people.

Improving the quality of life of the children and young people who live in the home including preparing healthy meals.

Promoting the rights of the children and young people to be treated with dignity and respect in every aspect of their lives.

Establishing supportive relationships with the individuals in your care and encourage the development of stable relationships between the children and young people , and other staff, and their families and friends.

Ensuring that all care plans, key-working files and care files are updated and accurate and maintained .

Supporting the staff team in their role of keyworker and facilitate training as required .

To be a successful Senior Support Worker with Priority Childcare, you’ll need:

QCF Level 3 is essential or working toward s.

Enthusiasm to promote independence & choice.

A strong work ethic.

Ability to work flexibly.

Hold a current valid driver’s license.

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
