Base pay range

Job role:Senior Support Worker

Contract:Full-time, Permanent

Location:Newark, Nottinghamshire

Earning potential: £29,245 - £33,992 per annum

Hourly rate: £14.06 - £14.56 per hour

Please note: Higher end of the pay scale is inclusive of qualification enhancement, attendance bonus and 1 sleep-in per week at £44.56 each (Staff members may complete more than 1 sleep-in per week)

Bonus: Opportunity to earn £1400 attendance bonus (paid quarterly)

What You'll Do

  • Guide and support Support Workers and Waking Night Support Workers, providing supervision and mentorship.
  • Take charge of shifts, ensuring seamless operations and effective task completion.
  • Cultivate a nurturing atmosphere by building strong, trusting relationships with children.
  • Support the professional growth of team members, instilling best practices in care.
  • Create lasting memories by organising activities that foster joy, learning, and personal growth.
  • Document children’s development in thoughtful, impactful ways.


What You'll Bring

  • A Passion for Helping Others: Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives.
  • Experience and Dedication: Previous experience providing emotional and behavioural support is essential.
  • Flexibility and Resilience: The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the home.
  • Qualifications: A current qualification in QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
