Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities is essential.
  • QCF Level 3 / NVQ 3 or willingness to obtain is required.

Senior Support Worker - Supported Living

Location - New Barnet

Salary - £15 per hour

About Norwood:

Founded in 1795, Norwood is the oldest Jewish charity in the UK, supporting neurodiverse children, their families, and individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live their best lives. We work with local authorities to deliver services including residential and supported living accommodation, short-breaks facilities, and support groups for the whole family.

About Lyonsdown, New Barnet:

The property is a large, wheelchair-accessible detached house with 4 ground-floor bedrooms, 2 wet rooms with accessible baths and overhead hoists, a modern kitchen and lounge, an interactive sensory room, a landscaped garden, an office for staff, and sleep-in shifts. It is located near the town centre with shops, amenities, public transport, and free parking.

Skills and Experience required:
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities
  • Experience in person-centred planning and risk assessment
  • Ability to swim and support others in hydrotherapy pool
  • QCF Level 3 / NVQ 3 or willingness to obtain relevant care qualification
  • Knowledge of current legislation
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Driver preferred
